The VBeam® laser is designed to treat different types of vascular skin conditions, including rosacea, spider veins, visible blood vessels, and other skin conditions that can make the skin red. This yellow light laser is FDA-approved and safely and effectively treats a variety of skin conditions.

How the VBeam Laser Works

The word LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Using an intense pulse of light, the VBeam laser is able to target vascular lesions without harming any of the surrounding tissues. The laser is used at a frequency that the blood vessels can absorb, but not the skin. Your VBeam treatment will start with you lying down or seated, depending on the treatment area. Then our laser provider will use a small handpiece on the areas you want to be treated. The laser will deliver short pulses of energy and then a cooling burst between each pulse.

Do VBeam Treatments Hurt?

There may be some slight discomfort, but most patients find that the treatments do not hurt. Before your treatment, a topical anesthetic may be applied to help keep you comfortable. If you have not received a laser treatment before, the sensation may be surprising. Because the laser is not cutting or burning the skin, most patients do not have a difficult time with the treatment. After Your VBeam Treatment

When your treatment is complete, you may experience some tingling, swelling, redness, or bruising. Many of these effects will wear off within a few hours, while swelling may last for a few days. After the treatment, most patients resume regular daily activities. You will want to avoid sun exposure while you are healing, as your skin will be sensitive.
