Rhinoplasty
The nose is the most defining characteristic of the face; therefore, nothing has a greater impact on how a person looks than the size and shape of the nose. Even minor changes in nasal shape can greatly improve one’s appearance. Altering the appearance of the nose may be something you have wanted to do for a long time. Whether you are dissatisfied with the nose you were born with or the way it has changed with aging or secondary to injury, Dr. Davis can help you. Dr. Davis’s training in head and neck surgery as well as facial plastic surgery will enable him to not only treat your cosmetic concerns but also to address your functional concerns, such as trouble breathing through the nose or chronic sinus infections.
Rhinoplasty surgery may be performed under general anesthesia or “twilight sleep” using local anesthesia and IV sedation. The majority of incisions are within the nose where they are invisible, but there may be a small incision in the area of skin separating the nostrils, where it is inconspicuous. The underlying structure of the nose is then recontoured by removing, adding to, or reshaping underlying bone and cartilage. The tip of the nose can be narrowed by sculpting the cartilage in this area. The angle of the nose with the upper lip can also be adjusted to provide a more youthful appearance. A splint will be in place on the nose for one week after surgery to reduce swelling and provide protection and stability. Patients usually take a week to recover from this surgery.

Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)
Droopy, puffy eyelids can make you appear tired or older than you are. Cosmetic eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, can remove excess skin and fat to help restore the eyes to their natural appearance while reducing the signs of aging. In some cases, it can even improve vision impaired by sagging lids.
The upper blepharoplasty procedure begins with an incision made in the natural crease of the upper eyelid. Excess fat, muscle, and skin are then trimmed away from the eyelid. Lower eyelid fat is removed through an incision on the inside of the eyelid. This may be combined with excision of a pinch of skin just under the eyelashes or possibly with either laser resurfacing or a chemical peel of the periorbital skin.
This outpatient procedure, which typically takes one to three hours, is considered to be permanent in many cases (although it will not prevent natural aging). Following surgery, side effects such as dry eyes, swelling, bruising, and sensitivity to light may occur, but they should fade within 10 days.

Face Lift
A common complaint is that one’s outside facial appearance is not reflecting their more youthful energy level. Sun exposure, weight fluctuation, heredity, and the natural aging process make skin loosen and sag, resulting in wrinkles and jowls. The muscles on the neck can slacken, too, causing you to look years older than you are. If you are interested in elevating sagging cheeks, reducing jowls, obtaining a more youthful jawline or tightening the neck, then chances are you may benefit from a face lift.
Face Lift incisions are camouflaged around the ears, the hair, and under the chin. The skin is elevated, but it is more than just a skin tightening. Dr. Davis also lifts and tightens the underlying structures, creating a more natural and longer lasting result. Surprisingly, there is very little pain associated with this procedure. The average patient usually takes about two weeks to recover from this procedure.

Endoscopic Brow Lift
Many individuals who are interested in improving the appearance around the eyes are focusing just on the eyelids. However, the brow is the foundation for this area, and its descent may be one of the earlier effects of aging. A brow lift can be performed to reset the brow and create a more natural appearance so that less eyelid skin needs to be removed. Dr. Davis performs his brow lifts endoscopically through four small incisions behind the hairline. This technique is less invasive and has less risk of scarring and hair loss. Through this approach, Dr. Davis not only resets the brow position, but also tightens the forehead skin and releases some of the musculature that creates frown lines. Average recovery is about one to two weeks. This procedure is frequently combined with other procedures, such as mid-face lift, eyelid lift, face lift, or laser skin resurfacing.

Endoscopic Mid-face lift
A mid-face lift is an outstanding option for patients who would like to diminish the signs of aging, but who are not ready for a full face lift. This procedure lifts facial fat that has begun to sag back onto the cheekbone, making the contour of your face look much softer, augments the cheekbone area making it more full and youthful, and raises the outer corners of the lips, eliminating that sad, tired expression about which so many patients complain. The end result is a rejuvenated expression and a younger-looking appearance.
This procedure is performed in conjunction with an endoscopic brow lift because Dr. Davis uses the same surgical approach, but he just extends the surgery into the cheek area, where he can lift the sagging structures of the cheek.
Recovery for the endoscopic mid-face lift is a little longer, potentially three weeks, because this surgery pulls on the corners of the eyes. Postoperative massage of this area will correct this. An endoscopic brow lift with mid-face lift is an excellent option for the person who wants to improve the appearance around the eyes, brow and cheek area through a minimally invasive approach. This procedure is frequently combined with eyelid lift, laser resurfacing, or face lift.

Liposuction of the Neck
You can now remove that excess fat from the neck that has been resistant to diet and exercise. This minimally invasive surgery utilizes small liposuction cannulas and three small incisions, one under the chin and one behind each earlobe. This procedure may be performed by itself or in combination with a chin implant to enhance the profile or combined with a face lift to help eradicate that “turkey wattle”.

Chin and Cheek Augmentation/Implants
Chin and cheek implants can help bring definition to the middle and lower portions of the face. Chin implants can strengthen a person’s jaw and bring balance and harmony to the face, while cheek implants can bring definition and improved facial contour. Facial implants are placed through inconspicuous incisions.
A chin implant is frequently performed in conjunction with a rhinoplasty or neck liposuction to achieve a more balanced profile.

Otoplasty
When a child or young adult has especially large or protruding ears, self-esteem can suffer. Ear pinning (or otoplasty) is a surgical procedure that can change the size and shape of the ears. This procedure may be performed on children age 5 or older, but it is frequently performed on adults as well. Ear pinning is a highly effective procedure that can improve both appearance and self-confidence
Otoplasty begins with an incision made behind the ear, after which cartilage is reshaped and sutured into place. Otoplasty takes just a couple hours to perform, and most normal activities can be resumed within a week.

Laser Skin Resurfacing
Years of exposure to harsh elements, especially sunlight, and the natural aging process can make skin look dull, blotchy, and lifeless. Acne scars, heredity, blemishes, and other factors can also make skin look sallow and aged. One of the most effective surgical procedures to help your skin look younger is laser skin resurfacing. Harnessing the safe but highly effective power of the laser, resurfacing can remove the damaged outer layers of skin. Wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other imperfections can be reduced with a low chance of bleeding or other complications.
After CO2 laser skin resurfacing, the skin will be pink for quite a while. However, makeup may be worn after about one week to camouflage this. Precautions must be taken to minimize sun exposure during this healing time. A potential side effect is that the skin that is lasered may experience some change in pigmentation, frequently becoming a little lighter.

Dermabrasion
Like the laser, dermabrasion is another tool for resurfacing skin. This can be a very effective procedure for reducing acne scars, treating wrinkles around the mouth, and camouflaging traumatic or surgical scars.
During dermabrasion, a wire brush or burr attached to an oscillating handle is used to scrape away the top layers of skin, making wrinkles and scars far less obvious.
